A tiny bit of guilt
So we were chatting at the cafe and Friend P mentioned that his dog has gained some weight and needs to walk. C said we all could use more walking. I agreed. Then P said, “But you walk more than all of us”. Well, not lately. So guess who walked to and from the cafe this morning. Just a little guilt, and a feeling like I wasn’t living up to my reputation was all it took.

Don’t know quite what did it this afternoon, but something inspired me not to be lazy and to take the 3 flights of stairs up to a meeting on the 5th floor of my building. By the top, I was tired of going around and around and around though. And this was after a trip down to south campus and back this morning. About 150 steps to that trip. Once the rain really starts, I won’t be doing that too much though.

Walking 5 to 6 days a week brought all my levels down including my A1C. Even with 28 days on a car trip. To JB, a rellie and and wellies will work in the for the rain.

Rellies don’t work out here (usually way too much wind with the rain). Have the wellies. Need to get a longer raincoat to cover the pants though.

I wish I had time to do that….if I take an hour and walk at lunch, things do Not Go Well when I get back.

No hour long walk — two 20 minuet walks — I’ll add a third when you get home And it is odd, I didn’t know I had a reputation as a walker, but I didn’t want to lose it.
I won’t be walking to day and don’t know if there will be time on Wednesday or Thursday. But friday there should be time

Dogs solve the issue. You must walk your dog enough for it to be too tired to incessantly bug you.

Unless you cheat and take them to day care multiple times a week…

It is easy to find a reason not to walk, much harder to find a reason to walk…

10 minutes three times a day.

you know, I almost find it harder to walk 3 times a day. That means finding motivation three times. Once I’ve made it to the coffee shop , there is ony one way home, so I really only have to find motivation once.

I totally feel your guilt. I need to get back to walking too, but I’m definitely finding every excuse not to.

I am trying to find the excuses to walk . Today — all the road construction in my neighborhood made driving annoying at best. So I walked to coffee. and when I needed a few more things for dinner – walk again to the neighborhood store. Bonus: I met one of the high school students , who lives next store and just chatted a bit. Not something we normally do.
