question of the day
It wasn’t supposed to be garden day …but it was anyway . DH mowed the lawn. So I had to dig a hole in the compost heap for the green waste. And then he sharpened the teeth on the alligater — which meant testing. Good bye 1/2 of a very overgrown bush. What makes me curious is , how come DH working ends up giving me more work?
Weeding
No not another gardening post! and another sore muscle post! I weeded for about two hours on Sunday and today I can still tell you what muscles I didn’t use this winter. At least I’m not walking funny anymore.
Raking
I do as much of the garden work by hand as I can. Power tools in the garden annoy me. So if you have asthma, this means a lot more planning and paying attention to how you feel. Spending an eight hour day in the garden, not a good plan. Ten to twelve hours a week is quite doable. The advantage to this plan is that you rarely get sore. Raking is an exception. It is always hard, takes longer than expected, and gives me some sore muscles. Ah well, at least I earned them
