question of the day

January 11, 2009 at 2:26 pm (domestic life, garden) (, )

It wasn’t supposed to be garden day …but it was anyway .  DH mowed the lawn.  So I had to dig a hole  in the compost heap for the green waste. And then he sharpened the teeth on the alligater — which meant  testing.   Good bye 1/2  of  a very overgrown  bush.    What makes me  curious is , how come DH working ends up giving  me  more work?

    DH == infrastructure guy.

    Which is to say, ensures that tools work so that other people can work.

    So I do metawork – implementation and maintenance – and you do substantive work (e.g., tree-trimming using the alligator).

    I kinda like the trimming, weeding, limbing up, etc. part. It’s the clean-up putting away part that’s not fun. Clean up the tools ugh! Sharping the tools—-uninteresting.

    yeah, but i had other work to do that still isn’t done…..

    It’s kinda like my hunny… his idea of cleaning creates more for me to clean.
