Niles Nusery history

Niles is know to a lot of people for its contribution to the movie Industry. But it turns out that Niles also had a lot to do with California agricultural history as well. Rumor has it that the local Niles nursery is responsible for the orange trees in SoCal. There are a number of old trees, unusual trees, and tree boxes left over from the old nursery days. Which sometimes you can see on the wildflower tour. Today someone local linked to some interesting articles on the nursery history. Here is one and here is another.

And on another note the current issue of Country Gardens features a garden in Niles.
