new england puritain

There is nothing like a California yard to make you feel like a new england puritan. Eco- destruction.  Work, work , work.  but work that gives you a weird sense of self righteousness.  Battling mother nature in the best weather ever.  I had plans for this week , DH is not a gardener , so I figured everything based on me doing it.  So … the front area of the garden – dug up and replanted in one afternoon instead of two days.  The tree behind it down today — including the stump pulled out ( we used every tool in the world to get it out — that wasn’t even part of the plan)  and the tree/bush  next to it pulled out.  That might have taken me the rest of the week.  I think I need to go to the nursery  for  some plants tomorrow.  And possibly  pick up the house some.  It looks like the elves have run throught the house tossing various bits of  stuff randomly about the place.

Love a productive weekend. We had one also, we have a new shed, that is looking good, we needed it because the new tractor mower would not fit in the little yellow one, that’s not our’s . The elves came to my house when they finished your’s.

I wonder if there is a spell to counter act the elves?

We had an…interesting experience getting the stump out.

I was about to pack it in – very tired – when a friend called asking to use some tools.

So I helped his son make some bits for their new chicken coop, and he attacked the stump with vigor, and out it came.

He wants an Alligator now, too. DW has won another convert….
