Active for life, part 2

Today begins week  4 of the Active for  Life program at the library.

Goal : on  paper it is 60  minutes a day , 5 days a week . 300 minutes.

In  real life 30 minutes a day  6 days a week. — but at least two  days  should be  an  hour of  exercise. so about 240  minutes.   But  Time isn’t exactly  the important  part,  number of days is  important.  With  diabetes — moving  the big  muscles everyday helps  keep  blood  sugar in check.

Results: Week 1 and Week  2 — exceeded minutes and exercised 6 days.

Week 3 6 days  but 2 were  under 30  minutes and only one day was over 60 minutes.  So I didn’t meet  any  time goals.

Conclusion: 1)  Both goals are good. Challenging but not  impossible 2) Minor  changes in life  move  exercise to  the bottom of  the list.   3) Despite not  meeting most of my  goal  this week,  I  think this week came pretty  close to  my  real  level  of exercise.  So  I  don’t do  quite as bad a s I  thought.
