Active for Life — Follow up
The Active for Life program is over — I hit 96 % of my goal . Two weeks of being sick was the ‘downfall’. Not much I can do about that. Sick is sick and you have to pay attention to your bodies needs. They are different when you are sick.
In general, I am pleased with my self. My goal was 60 min . of exercise 5 days a week. And I really did try to hit 5 days a week. Except when I was sick I did do at least 20 minuets of exercise 6 days a week. And exercise — I defined it as anything that was either real work ( like plant removal ) , or Moving the big muscles ( walking, biking, etc ) , or extraordinary housecleaning ( scrubbing the floor on my hands and knees — real work) . The lowest I hit when not sick , was 80% of my goal. So busy — not the excuse I thought it would be.
Any way I am going to try and Keep this up — but without keep ing track any where, I ‘m not so sure it will be easy.
guess I am more of a gardener than I thought
Sadly my vegetable garden fried. I got sick and didn’t water. and didn’t think to ask DH to do ( He had enough to do caring for me ) and , Even when I got better, I took a while to recover. Good bye garden. Except today — I seem to have acquired tomato, pepper, basil, and parsley plants. I have to try again.
Devastation
So in order to make changes , things must change and get chaotic and get ugly. oddly it still looks better than half dead lawn. Maybe because it looks like something is happening?
The Strain
I finished The Strain last night. If you haven’t heard of it, It is a vampire horror novel, The first of trilogy. In this case , vampires are a virus and our hero is a doctor for the CDC. It is very gory and really is a horror novel. But it wasn’t the best horro novel I’ve ever read. It did, however; give me nightmare. The worst ws this morning. ( I was trying to save the city , caulking windows with zip pens, but ran out before I could finish the job. I woke up in utter despair) , but that wasn’t the bad part. For most of the night I dreamed that the building of our patio was somehow critical in the fight of good vs evil.
catcase
Andy is not crazy about guitars, but he loves his cat case.
( why is the real camera hard to find when the cat is being cute?)
