patio stage II

There are more stages to go -weed cloth, sand, and brick -But this picture gives you a good idea of the shape. The big sweeping curves look sort of like an octopus swimming, but none of my pictures quite captured that.

Looking forward to seeing it finished or are we going to help you finish it?

Well, the main part should be done … depending on the brick situation. There are a lot more steps to putting down a brick patio than I thought.

However — I am sure we can find other projects – a new gate to the sideyard, a kitchen island, deforesting the backyard, painting the main living area, baseboards, removing the ugly , bizzare plastic molding from the hallway corners and repaing the walls , removing some lovely wallpaper,

Or we could just drink G& Ts and watch the world go by.

Looks great! It’s really opened up the front of the house.

You understand, Kari. The guy who delivered the last layer of rock was surprised when I said we would be planting only low plants ( in what is the now grass area. He thought we would want bigger plants for privacy. I told him that the patio is like a giant welcome mat, we have the back yard for privacy.
