Tonight, unexpectedly, but not so unexpectedly, we had to let Percy go.
Good for him, horrible for us.
Thanks to my DH , I posted on my boards before we got to the vet. It helped to know someone outside of us knew what was going on and could sympathizes. Never let anyone tell you your internet friends aren’t real.
our cat, Percy, is spending a day at the vet getting his glucose curve done. I had no idea how often I went to look for him during the day.
I ‘m trying to decide if I will be the rescuer or the evil one when I get him today.
This is kind of hard to write about. A few days ago, I took my cat to the vet. Turns out, he is very sick.Kidney problems ( which have lead to anemia) and ironically, diabetes. It sort of turned my brain upside down. On the good side the vet did not press me to start treatment right away. Because they know my cat. Percy is difficult- and this panicked me. I don’t yet know if he is going to deal with this. I don’t know if I can convince my vet to start us with once a day injections. But I have read enough to get some idea of timing leeway. and I have found one friend to help. I take him back to the vet in a few minutes.
So I have plans. I always like to have have plan B ,plan C, plan D and Plan D1 in the drawer. I think it keeps me calmer. I have all kinds of contingency questions to ask the vet.
Wish us luck and calm
