Tonight I will be going to an openning at the Olive Hyde Art Center .This is the second one in a row. I guess that means I am hanging around with more artists. Kind of cool. This show is all wearable art and the owner of Kiowa Rose has a whole room. Since Roise taught me to bead, I know I like her stuff.
Well, it looks like there is going to be a happening in Niles. A friend of mine is putting together a creative event in October. Rena is gathering a bunch of artists together and on the 10th of October you can meet, greet, and learn. There will be classes, idea swaps, and, with the price of admission, a box of stuff to create with, To read more about what will be happening ( and it changes ) read createartnow.org.
Today we have some friends that have a gallery opening at The Fremont Art Association . This is a little volunteer run Gallery on Main Street in Niles. It is a little hidden treasure, you never know what you might find in there. Over the past few years, the art association has found a lot of new members. Two of the new members, Pamela and Christine ,are the exhibitors. They both use watercolors, but they have different , yet complimentary styles. My DH is going to playing at the opening today, there will be good food, and great art. Good thing to do on a grey day in Niles. ( and yes , there will be some of Pam’s yummy soaps for sale. )
