Faerie  War by   Herbie  Brennan ( library  Kindle) YA – parallel  universes – hell ,Faerie, and our  world so  far.   maybe  13  and  up

Zombie  autopsies  by  Steven Scholzman,  MD  Not a  novel  in   a  the  traditional  sense – just  some ‘scientific  notes’  that  give  a  snippet  of  time.  feels  real.   and  is  gross. but  good

Virals Kathy  Riches   (libkindle) Seriously  good  sci-fi  adventure  books for  teens.  read it on  my  kindle and  was annoyed I  couldn’t  take in the bath. review here

Scored by  Laurie  Mclaughlin (lib book) What  if  instead  of  the SAT – you  whole  life  was scored. – Started out really  good,I want ed to make someone else  read it . It  ended well, but I didn’t have  the same  urge to  make  people  read it.  I guess it answered enough of the books  questions

Secret  garden ( kindle  free  classic)  – reread.

Miss Peregrine’s  home for peculiar children by  Ransom  Riggs (library book )  creepy, amazing, different  all based on a  bunch  of found  photos.   Has to  be  read in a form  where you  can  see  the photos.

Sew  Deadly (kindle  library)  Elizabeth  Lynn Casey mystery – south – librarian  and sewing .   fun,  but a  little  too – “look at  the odd rules  of  the south “- not  subtle.

A Modern Witch by Debra Geary ( amazon loan) silly modern witch book , with romance

Heart of evil by heather Graham kindle library loan paranormal romance

Bones of Fairie by Jamie Lee Simner .library book .Beautiful, lovely horror/fairy tale that takes place in the near future after a horrible , devastating war between faerie and our world.

So  2 plus  10 is  12  for  January 2012

First book list for 2012

Mind  Over  Monsters (  a  F. R. E. A. K. S.  squad  investigation )  by  Jennifer  Harlow LB

Perdido  Street  Station  China  Meiville  . (  shelf  book )  This one  has  been  stiing  on  my  shelf  for awhile.   Not  sure  why .  I read  King  Rant  and  Un Lon  Dun   a  while  ago  and  enjoyed  them.   This  one  is  wierd, and  fanastial , far  beyond  the other  too. I  just  finished  this last  night  – a  long  book , souch  incredible  world  building,  really  good  and 700  pages  long.   which  isn’t  really  a  negative,  but  it  took  a  long  time to  read ,  because it  was a  whole  new  world.   I  kept  having  to  pause  to  absorb.

so  2  for  January  so  far

So I am not unhappy with last year – the less than idea things , were not things I could do much about. However, that doesn’t mean there aren’t changes I want to make.

I  have  this challenge to read at least one book a month off my to-be-read shelves. I like fun goals!

For fun and to make me happy – I resolve to pay more attention to my hair. Since it hasn’t seen a pair of scissors in over 12 months , we aren’t talking a major challenge. But I am still thinking streaks.

and I want to start walking to work again and doing yoga on a regular basis. I just don’t want to lose what I gained last year. I just got to get it on the schedule. But more dancing is something we should do. We means a whole bunch of people I know, lots of people thought it sounded great when I mentioned it on facebook. For me dancing feels good. no pain no tiredness, I can dance for a long time and it never feels hard. When dancing is hard, life is not good.
